Nestling in “the world-class industrial powerhouse and the fourth-largest city in the United States” better known as Detroit is an innovative company which goes under the catchy name of Plannit.ai.

Plannit.ai also proudly boasts a striking byline:

“Create Your Business Plan in Minutes – Type your business idea below”.

I sampled their offering two months back, and my first impression was that while the idea was very well thought through, like earlier versions of AI elsewhere their AI-driven Business Plan occasionally and unpredictably repeated things, in this case phrases and sentences; for example, “unique” was repeated 27 times – there’s enthusiasm for you! However, these repetitions obviously left room for improvement, as they can be off-putting for readers, and diminish the credibility of the document.

Given how good their AI-driven BP was, I emailed Plannit, carefully outlining some of the glitches and pointing out that while their work with AI had effectively completed some tasks to a good level, it had at the same time created a bunch of time-consuming new tasks for me to do. To my surprise and appreciation I received a polite apology and a full refund within 24 hours. Courtesy too often being a rarity these days, Plannit.ai’s customer care impressed me.

A couple of months later I was further impressed when I received a free trial of their new, updated version. The upgrade to AI Version 4o made a real difference – in fact, it was miles better, while the glitches in the previous 3.5 version had been dealt with, and now glitch-free, it worked perfectly.

To put these AI buddies 3.5 and 4o through their paces, I took a recently finished draft business plan which a colleague and I had spent many months working on but had yet to finesse and ran it through the Plannit.ai ‘questionnaire system’, firstly the improved older version, followed by the new, shiny, upmarket “supercharged” 4o version. No exaggeration, I was totally blown away. It wasn’t just that the tone was now appropriate, and the repetition had disappeared; it was that detail was not left wanting, the language was fighting fit, and the overall impact gave the plan a realistic, credible boost. Yes, it needed some tweaking once it was ‘complete’, and most of that was due to my own minor negligences which stood out now everything else was elegant and polished. The whole plan was finished in a couple of hours, and that was a breath of fresh air in itself.

There are other ‘build your business plan’ platforms out there – Hubspot for example – which have a lot of bells and whistles, plus neat accompanying software and add-ons. However, Plannit.ai have something else entirely, which they describe as their “AI Business Plan Generator – The engine analyzes your responses and generates a business plan tailored to your vision” – which it does, looking good and smelling even better. They have designed a multitude of different plans to suit all comers, and across the whole family there exists an unforced fluidity of presentation. In total, they have created pretty much everything a business plan requires. The prompts that their platform elicits from you, the business plan planner, make the set up a masterpiece of relative simplicity. Concepts are transformed into accurate, coherent language across the document, which will interest investors and make bank managers look up and smile.

Seriously, try this out, it’s the best value on the market and a delight to use. My tip: before you start, get your plan ready to the best of your ability, then run it through Plannit.ai and regenerate it. Or if you’re having a good idea and you want to test both its appeal to investors and its overall chances of success, before you downsize your car to raise the money for your excellent start up, you could model it in full here.
